Having started my own blog fairly recently I am struggling with similar dilemmas. In fact I've just re-written most of it to try to make it sound less 'judgemental' but sometimes wonder if this means I'm losing a little bit of me in it.

I do have strong opinions on certain parenting issues and would like to be able to express them and spark debate about them, challenge assumptions etc, but am so scared of being accused of being judgemental. To make matters worse, one of my neighbours managed to find and read my blog and is now not speaking to me!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408457313131912061.post-50618051863503025632011-09-24T02:42:38.341-07:002011-09-24T02:42:38.341-07:00and thank you too for your comment leslie...

I quite liked it although on balance I didn't think it explored the rights and wrongs of slapping so much as demonstrated the author's precision misanthropy.Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319479661111193584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408457313131912061.post-32637908674562709532011-05-01T12:08:20.052-07:002011-05-01T12:08:20.052-07:00thanks Li-ling it is great to have your perspectiv...thanks Li-ling it is great to have your perspective.
and L, what is THE SLAP?!
xxxThe Mulehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06786143388807016249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408457313131912061.post-30634935433098301072011-05-01T11:07:14.244-07:002011-05-01T11:07:14.244-07:00I so nearly blogged about a slap I saw a few weeks...I so nearly blogged about a slap I saw a few weeks ago but I couldn't quite articulate everything I wanted to. I see so many many things done in so many different ways.
I accept a lot of how things are done as just that -- the way it's done over here. However, I do find myself judgemental too, in much of the same way that you have described.
I do have certain thoughts and ideas, right or wrong, it is I suppose relative but you are right, conversation does help :)Li-linghttp://www.thegeorgous.comnoreply@blogger.com
